About Lua Vietnamese
Lua is a Vietnamese banh mi shop that balances tradition and nostalgia. The diner aesthetic pays homage to the classic visuals that are commonly associated with North American fast-casual food, while the food reinterprets the flavours you might traditionally find in a banh mi. The brand was created to reinterpret how a banh mi shop can look, feel and what it can serve. The name ‘Lua’ is inspired by the Vietnamese word meaning fire, referencing the phrase “mo lua” which is the call to turn on the flame at the start of a cooking service. This concept reflects the energy of the kitchen and the spirit of the brand. The brand uses warm tones in the colour palette to reflect this.
